After School Information

Schedule:

Each Day Children are picked up from CCA at 2:45. On early release days the children are picked up at 11:45 and are brought directly back to C.A.R.E. We do go into the school each day to ensure all children are accounted for ;)

2:05 Pick up at Jessie Wharton

2:45 Pick up at Cornerstone

3:15 GCS and CCA students arrive

3:15-3:30 Settling in and Reading time

3:30-3:45 Snack

3:45-4:30 Homework time

4:30-5:00 Outdoor or Organized indoor play based on Weather

5:00-6:00 Cleanup, wash up, and get packed to go home

6:00 Closing time

Early release Days, Teacher Work Days and More

We are open on Early Release Days as well as Teacher Work Days. We are also open some Holidays and Breaks. This always depends on the overall demand and parents are surveyed prior to this decision being made. We are also open on snow days. This is also determined based on need as well as travel conditions. Emails or texts are sent out to determine the need and advise on opening times.

Middle School Study Lounge

The Middle School "Study Lounge" was created to assist parents with a growing need for care for children in grades 6-8. This will be a place where the kids can have a bit of freedom but also in a supervised setting. They will be given an afternoon snack each day and are expected to work on homework and study. They will have guided assistance but also given more freedom to work independently. They will be located in a recreation room equipped with ping-pong tables, air-hockey and other fun activities. They will also be allowed to assist with and mentor our younger students when appropriate.
